Pawbuster
by EQ-Raiders
This fight is very simple. Start by tanking Pawbuster in a corner where you can eventually move him to the grate quickly. The easiest place is just at the bottom of the stairs below his little area.

Set all raid members to stand in front of your healers. There is word that Pawbuster stuns the closest 16 people to him with his AE, but betting on that is not worth it.

Designate a healer as a backup MT curer and position that healer max cure distance from the MT healers which should be max distance from your tank. This way, your MT healers are always free of the stifle/stun.

DPS away.

(unconfirmed) When Pawbuster reaches 25% a timer will start which will eventually drastically reduce the damage to him. Start hard DPS from this point. You want to get Pawbuster to around 10-15% health.

When Pawbuster is low enough, drag him to the center grate and send one person, preferably someone who can drop aggro in an instant (as Pawbuster's aggro will be all over the place very soon) to the lever where Pawbuster usually stands. Get everyone to stand around the grate and have your tank position Pawbuster directly on the center grate.

Make sure your healers adjust to the new positioning and that your spare curer is out of range enough. He will most likely be against the wall during this time.

Pawbuster must hit the Grate three times before you can pull the level and drop him to his death. With each swing he does he will knock back anyone who was in front of him. Just get him positioned back ON TOP of the grate quickly.

Grats on the win.

Pawbuster – Executioner’s Throne Room
* Whirling Attack – Every 20 seconds, Pawbuster does a trauma AE which triggers Intimidation, causing the 18 closest players and pets to be stifled/stunned for 1 minute. This will be cured by the healers.
* Great Cleave – Every 20 seconds, Pawbuster lifts his shoulders and does his “big swing” with his battle axe. This is a frontal AoE Knockback and Stun which cannot be cured. The main tank will be the only tank directly in front of Pawbuster, with secondary tank to Pawbuster’s left ot right ready to take agro.

Pawbuster's HP was dramatically reduced in the last Live Update. It is possible to burn this guy down now in close to 2 mins. Also, the frequency of his Stun has been lowered.

If you fight on the stairs, have your healers healing through the mob, and dps gets agro have them turn it back and move it to the tank. This mob is stupid easy. Full burn before you move em..bang bang click dead.

The aggro problem is when he does his Slam and roots himself. His aggro bounces around because while he is rooted he only gets Proxy aggro for a few seconds until the tank comes back into range.

If DPS does just auto attack damage, aggro will quite often never leave the tank, either on stairs, on the move, or on the grate. Makes for a long fight, but then the healers only have to worry about keeping 1 person up.
