Letter from the Magic: The Gathering – Tactics Producer
Hello all,
Last week was a very tough one here at SOE as business demands forced us to let go many friends and colleagues that we’ve worked with for many, many years.* I can assure you that they were all treated well and we’ve been working very hard to ensure them future success by helping place them in new companies where their immense talents will continue to make great games.
So you’re probably wondering how these changes will affect Magic : The Gathering – Tactics.* We still have an extremely talented and dedicated team focused on our newest game.* We will be moving this team to the San Diego office where we can tap into the larger pool of SOE resources.
Last week, we patched reconnect technology into the Tactics client so that your matches should be more stable and, in the event of a crash, easier to recover.
We have also been talking with you through Community, reading your posts and emails, and listening to what you’d like to see happen in Tactics.* In the next couple of weeks, we will be making some changes based on your feedback that I think you will appreciate.
Looking ahead, we are continuing to move forward on Set 2, which you should see this summer.* I have attached a couple of images and characters in various stages of completion that we are working on for this set.* Tell us what you think!
