A new year has arrived! So with the New Year, let’s meet new people! The SOE Gamer of the Month Challenge is changing its focus a bit. Players can now submit entries throughout each month. A committee of SOE Community team members will review the entries, and will choose the one entry that best represents the SOE Gamer of the Month title. Please see the SOE Gamer of the Month Official Rules (http://www.soe.com/contests/rules.vm#soegamerofthemonth) for judging criteria and other details.
Entries must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM PST the Sunday before the first Wednesday of each month to be considered.
Here’s how to enter:
Send an email to communityevents@soe.sony.com, subject: SOE GAMER of the MONTH CHALLENGE [insert month for which you are entering].
Include your first and last name and Station Account name in the body of the email.
Attach an image of yourself and/or your avatar.
Attach a Word or Text document that includes answers to the following questions:
Where in the real life world do you live (city and state)?
What SOE game(s) do you play?
How long have you played the above game(s)?
What other games do you play?
Why would you like to be the SOE Gamer of the Month?
What do you do for a living?
How many hours a week do you play video games?
Tell us about your character(s).
How did you get into gaming?
What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other than playing video games?
What do you like the most about your favorite SOE game?
What’s the first thing you do when you log into your game? Do you have a routine?
List your favorite:
Item (is there one you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons?)
Zone
NPC
In-game Memory
What is the most in-game currency you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters?
If you could have a superpower or a spell/ability from the game you play, what would it be?
If there was one thing you could tell the SOE Community about yourself, what would it be?
If you’ve submitted an entry to become an SOE Gamer of the Month in the past and have not been chosen as an SOE Gamer of the Month, please do not hesitate to submit an entry again.
If you are chosen as an SOE Gamer of the Month you will be featured on the Station Blog, the official SOE Podcast, the SOE Facebook and Twitter pages, the Station Forums, and the SOE Community Site. You may also be asked to submit five questions about your game that the Community team will endeavor to answer in an upcoming Podcast.* You may also receive prizes.
