Sony Online Entertainment is full of many diverse employees. Our company isn’t just made up of the folks you meet on the forums or see at Fan Faire. We have a Finance Department, a Human Resources department, Legal, Office Operations, Administrative Assistants, people from all walks of life!
The Community team would like to introduce you to those people in a monthly feature titled, “SOE Employee Spotlight.” This month you will meet Alex Keller from Multimedia. Take a moment to find out about what a typical day in the office is like for them, what their favorite SOE game is, and other fun tidbits. As a special bonus, we learned where their favorite location in-game is and created wallpaper for you to download!
What is your real name or an alias you’d rather use?
Alex Keller

What is your official title/position?
My title is Sound Designer, but right now I am casting, directing, editing and processing voiceover for DC Universe Online.
How long have you been working at SOE?
Since February 2010.
Tell us what a typical workday is like for you.
Meetings, cast wrangling, editing, processing, bug fixing. Making sure we are working within the fictional boundaries fo the DC universe is a very important issue that we pay a lot of attention to. If I’m lucky I get to work with actors.
What is your favorite SOE game title?
DC Universe Online!
Inside that title, what is your favorite location?
Either the Joker Funhouse or Crime Alley.

What is your favorite thing about that game?
The attention to getting the DC universe right, both in terms of continuity and tone.
If you could be any fictional character, whom would you be?
In the DC universe, probably Hal Jordan, the silver age Green Lantern.
What was the last book you read?
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest by Stieg Laarson.
How did you get into the industry?
A lot of networking and hustling.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Flight, no question.
Outside of work, what do you like to do?
I hang out with my kids,cook, watch movies, play games, read comics*and exercise. I listen to a lot of music,*dabble in experimental music and sound art, and*host a weekly radio show on a community*radio station in Austin.
